What are they fighting for?

The war against drugs has been an on going event for a very long time. Billions upon billions have been dumped into this effort to stop major drug suppliers from getting their “deadly” product onto the streets and into the hands of the people that use them.

I dont understand how a war that has gottne no where since it started is still being funded while we are currently pushing billions into the war on terrorism. If America wants to fight a war that is worth fighting, they shoud leave the drug war alone and pay more attention to the war over seas.

Fighting against drugs(the people who buy use and seel them) is a very stupid attempt at stopping people from doing what they want. It does not matter how much the law tries to keep drugs from affecting our population, they have been here since the beggining of time and will continue to be here until the end. OUr gervnerment can keep on trying to stop it, and yes they make a lot of problems for the people at the top, and the people all the way at the bottom of the chain, but no matter what these people will always be here.

The only theing that will end people dealing drugs is legalization, but considering that will probably not happen soon i doubt that big time sellers are going to change their ways.

The drug market is just like any outher market. There is the product, the seller, and the buyer. People who sell drugs are just like a person who decides to sell cars or furniture. The seller finds something that people need, and then the seller exposes that need and uses it to make money. The only difference is that the drug dealer is breaking the law.

The government is doing their job, i understand that, but the motives behind it all bother me. i understand getting a killer, or rappeist off the street. That is all i would wish for, is to keep all violent offenders behind bars, but treating someone who just sells drugs. Im not even counting those who hurt others to gain more in their life of crime. Just a drug dealer, someone trying to make a living. I dont understand how the law can give someone on a first offense of selling a kilo of coke 15 years, more than a rappeist. There is no lesson behind that. Its basically saying that someone who has possession of a drug is more dangerous than a person who would violae a person in the worst way.

It all comes down to one thing, money. I dont care how many people say that is a lie, its the truth. When a drug dealer is on the streets making a few thousand a night, the government makes no profit off of it. thats why drug dealers must go through long prison sentences. The goverenment makes money back for each day that dealer is locked up. Plus the law has the right to charge tax on whatever you were selling.

If the law is about makeing people relize that what they did is wrong. But the people that do deserve a 15 year sentence get 12 months to less than a year. And the people moving drugs get years and years for doing something that may be against the law, but is not hurting or killing people.

Where To Lay The Blame.

In our world today, drugs in general have been and always will be looked at with a disgust because of what they have been turned into by most of the people that use them. Herion addicts, meth and coke heads, acid droppers, and pill poppers. the list goes on. All of these drugs i have no problem with, only the way the are used, which is in a irresponible way. People get carried away with what they are on that they let the drug control them, instead of themselves controling the drug. 

I do not agree with people who look down at drugs and blame the drugs for the problems people have, becasue that is bull shit. Pot is one of the widest recreational used illeagal drugs in America and it happens to be one of the most unlethal ones on both street and govermental markets. But, for me, whenever i see an anti-drug add pot is always the one that gets a bad wrapp sheet. Some adds go as far as to show a kid blow his brains out after taking one drag(which by the way would not fuck up a dog let alone a human teenager).

These anti-drug associations talk about how bad and dangerous pot is. There is about four different excuses these companies say when talking against the mind altering substance. It makes drving dangerous, it impairs your judgement, gives you lung cancer, and has negative affects on the brain. If you look at what i just listed cigarettes and alcohol have all those affects in them. But the only difference in those substances is that whenever a person gets in a car wreck from drinking or dies from cigarette smoking the person who was doing the substance got the heat. Somewhere along the line with pot it stopped being the persons fault for what they decide to do and it became the plants fault.

I dont care if people dont agree with drug use, but saying that pot is worst than smoking and drinking and then laying the blame on the plant and not the person who decides to smoke it. I do drugs, different kinds, but all of them have been my choice. No one pushed them on me, no one made me. There was no peer pressure. And there never is. A person always has and always will have the choice to do something or not do something. And what they decide is not the drugs fault or the cigarettes fault. It is the persons fault. Nothing will change that.

Public and Private schools

I was just reading a article about a school board in Seatle that was prohibiting a teacher to show Al Gore’s movie on global warming. I myself have not yet had the chance to view this movie, but the reasoning behind it is completley bogus. Parents do not feel their students should view a movie that is un-truthful and does not show christian views. Im sorry, but between the moaning about this, and evolution being taught in school, i cant deal with it. I understand that this goes against what some people believe religion wise and they dont want science to pervert the minds of their children, but there is private schools for that, which are made to serve those that believe in those was, and even in public schools there is christians clubs,  i dont see how this arguement continues. If they are watching that, they must be in high school, and by then, the almost adult students can make their mind up about the issue. And if they dont want to watch it, thats fine, but dont use christian propaganda to keep it from those that do believe it and would like to learn about it. Pay for your children to go to private schools where it wont even be brought up.  if someone went to a private school and said they wanted to teach evolution they would be shown to the door, and yet it cant even be taught in a public school. How is it that the mind set ” christanity is the one religion” is getting so much popularity. It is not the “one” true religion. Religion is what you make it, and if you cant even accept other people’s beliefes you dont deserve to call yourself, christian, jew, muslim, what ever you are, you cant say taht someone else is wrong and expect other people to bow down to you and not speak their minds, while you push your beliefe on them, its just not going to happen.

The Devestation Of Advancement

Is it not odd that when loking back at history, you notice that the most powerful civilizations have taken a good long while to reach its peak of power and from there slowly die out, and from those civilizations came advancements just likee everyone before it. Now look back at history and look at the USA. Its been here for 235 years give or take a few years, and look how far we have come. then we had basics, and things seemed to be advancing in a propper time, then you have guns that get more powerful, then more accurtate, then faster firing time. Weapons go from simple to mass destructive. There are computers doing things for us. Everything is operated on computers. Hell even the people have seemed to advance.

Now look at how the world around us has changed. Polution is every where, our ozone is so bad off its is un-believeable. Our world is slowly starting to lose it resources. And everything is becoming exaclty what it was not before the 1600’s(example). Before that, our air was still clean, our lives are not in danger because of bad air. The seasons and climate were actually balanced.

It seems to me that since the USA has started out as a country, it has been given every chance that empires before us did not have. At that momment the creation of the USA was so lucky it was amazing. And instead of using it to our advantage, it was wasted. The thought of becoming the most powerful country clouded the eyes of the leaders, who had all these good intentions, and yet they all seem to back fire. Better energy souces, yet it destories our ecosystem. We make weapons to protect ourselves but now we can kill everything on earth.

All of these advances and instead of helping us they only make it worst in the future. At the time it semmed like a geat idea, but nver did they think of the  consequences. Now we have to. We as a generation that has to see the affects of their mistakes. Knowing that these things will, at some point in time, destroy us.

It is amazing that the most powerful civilization to be created is the most nieve and in return will have to pay for  the things they never considered.

And not only has our mistakes damned us but the living things around us, the world around us. Thesre are habitats around the world being destroyed everyday. Our negative affects on the ozone and the natural world has made global warming such a threat it is merley years away.

All this on a counrty that was blessed, yet at the same time it is teribbly cursed, and for both it will pay, and so will the rest of the world

Saddam and his very deserved death

There is a lot of talk about how at the time of Saddam’s death, people in the room where he was hung, made gestures and comments to offend and piss off the tyrant just before the button has pushed to send him swinging. I do believe that certain things after his death were un-called for, but for those who think it was wrong to “pick on” the astranged leader, think about how he was when he dictated that entire country. He was one of the most ruthless people ever. He would walk into a village rape the women in front of their families and kill them one by one. But when someone finally gets the chance to make him feel a little of what those people went through, its wrong.  But all of those years that he treated his people like shit and went un-checked, un-punished was ok. Its ok when a man like him abuses the power of being a leader and uses it to ravish an entire country, but we should all cry for a man who would rather get off to people being killed, than help his people.

I am in no way a supporter of the war in Iraq. The war was started because  Osama bin laden killed a mass of our american population, and some how we mangaged to invade another counrty with no valid reason, but if there is anything good that came from this war in Iraq it is the death of that man and i in no way pitty the last momments of his life. It was to long as it is, and finally after years  of running free, his victims are finally justified.

Drugs are bad…mkay?

Since the 1900’s drugs have progessivley become a very large debate. On one side you have those who do not think drugs are te enemy, then on the othe side you have the ones that think drugs are evil and should be banned. And the ones that believe drugs are as evil as the media says they are, thats fine. But instead of targetting all drugs, its usually just ones such as weed, cocain, crack, and other recreational drugs. They never bring up the fact that caffeine, the most widley used drug, nicotine, and alchohol are just as bad. Smoking and drinking kills more people than weed does in a year. And those two plus caffeine are some of the most powerfully addicting drugs on the planet.

I can understand the desire to rid the world of drugs, but the fact is that its impossible. Drugs have been here since the beggining of time in one form or another, and will always be here. Be it natural or un-natural forms, drugs will always be open to those that desire them.

I know there are many groups that are against tobacco and alchohol, but im not gearing my arguement towards them. My problem is not with them.  My problem however, lies with the corporations that are against weed and other drugs but never once talk about tobacco or alchohol. Reason being is because they know that not only are these substances money making for them but if weed were legal the would lose more of it than they are making.

Weed in itself is one of the governments best idea when it comes to making money. There are thousands of prison systems across the country and together there are millions of prisoners, These places are over crowding and there is serious need of more. Understand that there are millionof prisoners, and there is not enough room for all of them.

Here is a kicker though. Each system makes roughly 500 dollars a day from each inmate. The government would like to say that they pay 50 dollars a day for each inmate, but this is a 450 dollar profit, daily, for just one person. So now its not that pot is something the government wants to get rid of, it has just become an easy way to make money. Wh

People complain about murders getting out of prison, while a small time drug dealer gets seven years. I heard from a friend that was incarserated with a 2nd offense child offender. He only got 4 months and he raped a 2 year old girl, but we have a guys in prison for years for selling pot.

The fact is it takes money to put a man a trial for murders or rapes, or other serious offenses, but it only takes five muinutes in court to convict a drug offender.

I dont mind when someone tries to talk about the flaws of drug use. But using information given to you by a commercial or from some kind of government funded organization will get people no where.

Another thing

While im thinking about war related matters. Another thing that should be thought about, is the countless other government and religious war(though most are one in the same). Instead of trying to stop these wars Bush decides to start a new bigger war. I guess becae he didnt think there was already enough going in the world.

But still, it makes no sense to me that Bush claims to want a peaceful world, so instead of working for peace(like he “wanted”), he decides to make it harder for that to be done.  I dont think he knows what he wants. It literally changes everytime he makes a speech. First he wants this, then he goes and does that, which is miles away from what he wanted.

I hope one day before the end of his term he figures out what it is that he wants, becuase his entire country is in need of it.

The effects of the Bush presidency

In 2001 when George Walker Bush took the white house office, he was given an  opportune momment, due to the attack on the twin towers, to take advantage of the shocke American population and use it against them to win the support to go to war. And it seemed like the right thing to do in a way. To go to Afghanistan and destroy the group responsible for what happened and to keep them from doing it again. And that is exaclty what happened.  And for a while the war was only between America and the al Qaeda terrorist, but then the talk began about Saddam Hussein and his regime being associcated with the al Qaeda and having access to weapons of mass destruction.

Once again Bush came to the American people to tell them of the dangers of Saddam Hussein and that immediate action should be taken. With the current war on terror in Afghanistan the American population wanted any kind of threat to their safety to be destroyed. So yet again Bush got what he wanted and he invaded Iraq.

His first term went fine in terms of people liked him. Not everybody, but it is impossible for an entire country to like a president, but he was doing good. However, after his 2nd term began we discovered that there were no weapons of mass destruction. a complete lie that any other president woud have and should have been impeached immediatly. But he wasnt, instead we stayed in Iraq and still fought. But for what purpose?

I believe that in the beggining the war was for Bush’s personal desires. There were many options open to him after 9/11 and he thought he could do them all at once. Grab the oil from Iraq, look good to America along with the entire war, while in the process capture his fathers attempted murderer. He achieved one of these, capturing Saddam, and now when we should by no means stay there, we cant leave. Ethically we cant leave Iraq in the condition we have put it in. Before we invaded that country, Iraq did not have the best government but for the most part the people of Iraq were living in a somewhat ”stable “ enviroment.

However, since out occupation of Iraq the entire country has gone to shit, and it is not getting better, The people dont want us there, they dont like the kind of government we are trying to instill for them, and our troops are dying. There is no reason to be in that country, except now we cant leave becuase not only will we have to worry about retaliation from pissed off Iraqi’s we have to worry about how we are going to look to the rest of the world.

Bush has single handedly destroyed our economy, two countries, mad every country in the world look down upon us, and put the American people into nothing short of suffering.

I have always thought the role of a president was to look out for his people, then worry about the rest of the world, but not Bush. Since this war has began, it has been his only concern. The bullshit that Americans are going means nothing to this man. It is showed in his actions and his words. What matters to him is this war. Not what we are going through, not how deep he is putting our country into the ground, and how in the future he wont be the one that has to make up for his mistakes in the future.We are the ones that have to suffer becuase of him now, and we will have to suffer because of him in the future.
